ShadowPrice ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our SaaS pricing intelligence MCP service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

  • Email address — Used solely to issue and manage your API key.
  • Payment information — Processed securely and exclusively by our payment processor, Gumroad. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or billing details.
  • API usage metadata — We log request counts and timestamps for rate limiting and billing purposes only. We do not log the content of your queries.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

This is the most important section. ShadowPrice operates as an MCP server that runs locally on your machine via npx. Because of this architecture:

  • We DO NOT log, read, intercept, or store the chat prompts you send to Claude, Cursor, or any AI assistant.
  • We DO NOT have access to your internal company data, documents, or conversations.
  • We DO NOT track your browsing activity or use third-party analytics trackers.
  • Your AI conversations remain entirely private on your machine.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provision and authenticate your API key.
  • To process subscription payments via Gumroad.
  • To send transactional emails (API key delivery, billing receipts, service notices).
  • To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.

4. Data Security

All API communication is encrypted via TLS 1.3. API keys are hashed at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your account information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Gumroad as our payment processor. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data. We encourage you to review their privacy policy at gumroad.com/privacy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email and API key association for the duration of your subscription. Upon cancellation, we delete your data within 30 days, except where required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also cancel your subscription at any time through your Gumroad library/receipt.
